The “In the Meantime Process"
The night was slowly ending as my husband turns off the T.V., we walk slowly into our bedroom and prepare for bed. Today was another tough day, feeling defeated is never easy. We have been walking through a tough season for the last two years, and there have been many times the fear of the unknown has overwhelmed my spirit, and tonight that’s exactly how I was feeling. My husband however is always there to remind me of allowing our faith to be bigger than our fear.
We get into bed and like my husband always does, he leans over with our promises of God declaration page he made for us and says, “Are you ready?” You see my husband is a fighter for Christ and the promises Christ has for us. Scott takes my hand in his
and we tag team these scriptures. He declares a promise God has for us and then I follow declaring the next. We do this for over 20 scriptures, along with declaring the prophetic word that was spoken over us by our pastor. This is our “meantime” process.
There will be many “In the Meantime” seasons and it is up to us in how we walk through them. Our fear can consume us while we wait on the Lord. It can rob and steal from us daily if we allow it too, and I know only far to well when you are a single mom it can completely suffocate you. There is hope for us all! Though the world may look at single moms as unmarried I completely disagree. We are all married to God and we are never alone to walk through any season easy or difficult. You don’t have to be married to and earthly woman or man to stand and declare the promises of God. My husband may lead the way of our declaration in our home, but I encourage you single or married to get out your bibles and create your list of promises from the word of God. Begin to speak and declare them with the authority Jesus Christ gave to us! It will literally be life changing. God gave is His word as apart of the Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-18 Amplified Bible
10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. 11 Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. 13 Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. 14 So stand firm and hold your ground, having [a]tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart), 15 and having [b]strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news]. 16 Above all, lift up the [protective] [c]shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. 18 With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all [d]God’s people.
God wants you to declare His word against the enemy! Start today in this moment and your “meantime” will turn in to “God’s Power Time”!
