4 Things You Can Do "In the Meantime"
1. Pray
Matthew 6:33
33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also
The most important thing we can do as children of God is to seek God first. God cares so much for our anxieties, as well as our heart’s desires. We must go to God with our every need. There will be times “In the Meantime” when the waiting on God can even cause us to be angry. That is our nature when things don’t happen on our time table. Please remember you can go to God even in anger because He still cares and loves us then too! Take everything and every emotion to the Lord FIRST!!!
2. Read the Word of God
Matthew 4:4
4 But Jesus replied, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’”
Get your bible out, dust it off and dive into the Word of God!
So many times we wait to find out what God has to say about something after we are facing a difficulty. If you maintain daily quiet time reserved just for time with the Lord by reading His Word your “Meantime” will not seem never ending. It will become a conversion between you and God. The key during the time you spend in God’s Word is to listen! Let God speak to you.
3. Worship & Praise God
1 Chronicles 16:23-31
23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. 24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. 25 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. 27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. 28 Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. 29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. 30 Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. 31 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
We are called to sing praises and worship our great and mighty King! There are always going to be times you don’t “feel” like praising and worshiping God, but don’t let that stop you! PUSH Through!!!

4. Have Faith and Trust God
Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
You must keep your faith and trust God in the “Meantime”. This may be the hardest season you have had to walk through, and it would be very easy to give up. Keep going, when you feel your spirit is growing weak start at the top and work through all the steps again. God has promised never to leave us or forsake us. That means even though we walk through battles and storms we win! As children of God we never fight losing battles! Our faith must always be stronger than our fears
